•Pedro Summit is the highest point on Pedro Point Headland.  On a clear day it has great vistas (describe)

•Below, the north facing slopes are covered by an exceptional stand of coastal prairie, another environmentally sensitive habitat along the coast.  Pacific reed grass, California fescue, and numerous rare plants occur here

•Shelter Cove (seen below) was a major site for “rum running” during prohibition
